Russia Comes to Kalamazoo
Russia: Looking to the East and to the West

The 13th Annual Russian Festival on November 8th, with preview events on the 6th and 7th, offers the Kalamazoo community the opportunity to have a great multi-cultural experience while staying close to home.
To foster personal relationships and to encourage the exploration of various cultures, the Kalamazoo-Pushkin Partnership, the Portage District Library, WMU's Lee Honors College, and WMU's English Department present "Russia: Looking to the East and to the West" in Kalamazoo Thursday, November 6th - Saturday, November 8th. Main sponsor of the Kalamazoo Russian Festival is the Kalamazoo - Pushkin Partnership, a citizen group formed in 1992 to help promote relationships between Kalamazoo and its sister-city Pushkin, Russia. Please see our History page for more information about the Kalamazoo - Pushkin Partnership.
We believe that the personal relationships among the peoples of the world are the single most important factor in promoting peace, understanding and respect. We believe by facilitating and encouraging the explorations of our various cultures, by aiding those in need and sharing knowledge, we will create relationships that promote strong bonds of lasting international friendship between our countries.
